Meeting/Workshop Activity
by Stan and Bob

Mondays program will be on the subject of watch cases. All aspects will be covered and will run the gamut from pocket to wrist watches.

Case opening, cleaning, polishing, stem removal and associated problems will be covered. Members are especially encouraged to bring cases and/or communicate specific problems to Stan or I via email before the meeting so we can be better prepared to offer solutions.

Warm regards,
Bob

Tech Question for the next meeting:
A very strange Escape Wheel with a internal  spring:

From the Message Board

I'm servicing an Elliott time only bracket clock with a movement similar to that of a carriage clock. The movement is very good quality English make and the platform is a 7 jewell French make. The escape wheel has a feature I haven't seen before and I wondered if anyone could enlighten me?

From the Pres.
I want to thank Dave Booth for his Re-pivoting Demonstration at the May 11 meeting and for signing up as a member of HAM afterwards.

A exceptional video was shown on Pocket Watch Case Making. I'll have it at the next meeting if you want to see it again.

Please Welcome Andy Alendschoen, Clock Repairer, the next time you see him. I think we may have another new HAM member !

On a sad note for us, Dave & Patricia Hannemann will be moving in August to South Carolina. He has always been there for us running the Secretary's job perfectly. We might still see him at a couple of meetings so be sure to wish him well.
" Dave, ya did Good !! "  and Thank You from Me.

Old Business:  Al reminded those who have not handed in their safety sheets to due so.

New Business:  Discussion followed about an agenda for our planned May workshop and whether or not to hold a second May meeting so close to Labor Day.  Because of the holiday and party time schedules the members elected to cancel both the workshop and May 25th meeting.

The door prize was won by LeRoy Roberts.

Our nest meeting is scheduled for June 8th at the Howard County Senior Center .

Respectfully submitted,
